Moment of pride in the elevator today.
I set only one goal for myself for 2019: My mind, body, and spirit are the healthiest we’ve ever been. Instead of choosing several different goals, I decided to keep it simple and focus only on mastering this ONE. I know that when I do master it, it’ll have the largest ripple effect in every area of my life. I’ll be a better me, but I’ll also be a better leader, CEO, fiancé, daughter, sister, step-mom, friend...all the things.
This time last year, I couldn’t tell you the last time I took a trip to see my family and just have fun. Or the last time I woke up before my alarm. Or the last time I planned a vaca with Spiros. Or the last time I felt energized about my work. Or the last time I felt confident wearing a jean mini skirt. Or the last time I read a book.
Here I am, heading to NYC to spend the rest of the week with my family. Comedy shows, Lion King on Broadway, sightseeing—that’s what we’ll be doing. This is our THIRD trip so far this year.
Here I am, after planning a four day getaway with Spiros last night. At the end of June, we’re going to a dreamy lake house to get away from the noise and just be. This is our SECOND trip of the year.
Here I am, after waking up at 5am, even though my alarm was set for 6. I jumped out of bed, made momentum on a few work projects, and made a list of all the things I’ll accomplish on my flight today.
Here I am, feeling cute in a mini skirt. Eating healthy. Sleeping well. Working out daily. Running up to 5 miles without stopping.
Here I am, book on my lap as I’m waiting for my flight to take off. I’ve lost track of how many books I’ve read so far this year. Easily 20+.
Here I am, with 4 suitcases for a 10 day trip. (It’s ok, we’ll tackle packing after I master this goal, ok?)
If you want to see big changes in your life, choose ONE goal to focus on that will have the largest ripple effect. Celebrate the wins, even when they’re small. SHOW UP FOR YOUR LIFE. You only get one!
