Sometimes you have to stretch yourself.
Back in Surrey on Sunday with a big session to do (10 RPE Squat x5). Half way up the 3rd rep my nose just blew. I had to get the last 2 reps done to ensure I knew I had hit the goal for that session.
Whilst this is not the kind of thing that should happen regularly at all, sometimes in order to know what you can achieve, you have to get out of your comfort zone.
The set ended up being a PB and a big confidence boost going into my next comp.
You don’t know where you are, if once things get uncomfortable, you just stop.
