Bei mir sind es morgens jeweils Dehnungs- und Kräftigungsübungen.

Abends bin ich ein neues Ritual am einführen 😊 👉🏻 Handy bereits 1-2 Stunden bevor ich ins Bett gehe auf Flugmodus zu stellen.

Je weniger Stressfaktoren (und das Handy 📱 ist wohl definitiv einer unserer grössten Stressfaktoren unserer Zeit), desto besser gelingt ein gesundes Essverhalten. Stress ist einer der Hauptfaktoren für schlechte Essgewohnheiten.

It’s the little things- I just live this drill from @ando_pfs . I’ve done it in PT with him and we did it this am using the wall ( you press the elevated fit into the wall) 
I personally love it bc if my structural challenges. It makes me do everything I need to feel and do to be a strong athlete... rubs down, pelvis steady/stable and square, no extension in your lumbar spine, use the tripod on the grounded foot to balance... Now staying  balanced and strong, pressing that while hand into the  yoga block - rotate, and reach.Ince you’re there, breath into for about 3 breaths . I feel so strong and powerful when I nail this. So great! #pfs #pfsathlete #balance #unilateralcontrol #unilateral #fitnessmotivation #yogablocks #chalkengeyourself #fitgirl #pfsgolfperformanceclass #foreveryoung

The calories in vs calories out theory of weight loss seems pretty simple: if you eat more food than you need, you'll get fatter, if you eat less than you need, you'll get skinnier.
.
This 👆🏻 is a huge simplification of how our bodies work. Everybody needs a different amount of food, and everybody processes that food a little differently – but the basic equation still applies in a nutshell..right?🤷🏻‍♀️
.
So why, if considering all calories were equal – can we all not lose weight with only eating junk food?
.
Well, because If you're eating 1000 calories of “junk” or processed food, your body won’t actually process the energy the same as if you were eating 1000 calories of “ whole foods".
.
Example:
if you were to have 200 calories in chocolate, those calories would be absorbed differently compared to 200 calories of nuts.
.
My advice is to not focus so much on calories or numbers but to focus more on consistency... consistently making the better choice, for yourself and what feels right for you.

One of the questions raised in my recent topic discussion was on hiking and how to train for core, and look after knees and feet and squats so I’m leaving squats for another discussion and let’s talk hiking training! Thanks to Joy for this question 🙌🏼💕💪🏼 With hiking it’s important to do exercises that work on stability especially ankle stability. You can do this with unilateral work like 1 leg deadlifts and lunges with a Db held overhead but also should do compound lifts like squats, deadlifts and pull ups etc. To ensure your not getting sore knees you need to make sure your quads aren’t tight and glutes are strong. If you walk and feel it mainly in calves and quads and no glutes it’s good to warm up prior with glute activating exercises like banded crab walks, leg swings and bird dog. Core strength comes from also lifting weights but can add in some pallof press, Swiss ball roll outs and planks. 
I have done a lot of hiking in NZ, Canada and some in Aussie and find my weight training helps me feel strong with minimal cardio needed for a 4 hour hike. It’s good to invest in a weight programme and do some stability work. Having the right footwear and socks helps also.

Around this time 2 months ago I was getting prepared to fly over to Germany and visit my fam. 😶 ⁣
I know everyone says this everyyyy single year, but honestly this year has gone so scaringly fast (is scaringly even a word, idk). ⁣
Tbh, I’m kinda very critical of myself (as most of us are) and looking back on the year so far, I don’t really feel like I’ve achieved much.. it’s SO easy to get into that mindset of ‘I could’ve done more’, and just being generally unsatisfied with how you’re doing life right now. Especially when you’re constantly seeing people doing/achieving great things on social media. 🤷🏻‍♀️⁣
But when I made a conscious effort to look at the POSITIVE things, instead of all the things I haven’t achieved yet, it made me realise that, yes I COULD have done more, but I have still achieved a lot...
This year, among other great things, I’ve completed more than half of my Law degree 👩🏽‍⚖️ (although there has been many many MANY tears/times when I’ve thought I couldn’t do it), worked at the Sydney Fitness Expo, travelled 30 hours completely by myself on a plane to another continent and back (anyone who knows me personally knows that I get very anxious when it comes to public transport haha), visited my mum and lil sisters for the first time in 2 years, had some CRAZY opportunities come my way, worked hard af in the gym and best of all, met some BOMB ASSSS people, made some new friends and just have some really amazing people in my life! 💝 ⁣

I think it’s good to be critical of yourself, because it makes you want to push further and be better, but it’s just as important to recognise the things that you have managed to achieve, no matter how big or small they seem to other people. 😌 ⁣

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who is in my corner (and I’m sorry I’ve been terrible at replying lately ❤) . These last few weeks (months?) I have had a pretty decent helping of stress, and starting my new job, taking on a big client and being on the road hasn’t helped that too much either. I’ve also had a bunch of awesome exciting stuff happening – so all together it’s just a lot of stuff all at once.  My diet has sucked (actually depends how you look at it, if you like junk food my diet has been awesome), my training has been ok and everything has been a bit of a whirlwind.

This isn’t one of those posts to say ‘I’m back, lets do this’, this is just me saying I’m still here, still doing my best, still going. Tomorrow we get up and do it all again.
