Getting healthier is a marathon,not a sprint. Every day is a strive to change one thing in your life for the better. Avoid this all or nothing mentality and start off with small changes like swapping your usual morning white bread cheese sandwich with whole wheat bread, try dark chocolate instead of milk or white, take the stairs instead of the elevator, sweeten your morning coffee or tea with honey instead of sugar, pair your lunch or dinner with vegetables, park farther away from your destination, try snacking on nuts or popcorn instead of chips and chocolate. Don’t let your body take over your mind. Be smart with your choices. I enjoy eating healthy and I do it for me not because I HAVE to but because I WANT to. I’m not saying that I don’t indulge on unhealthy food every once in a while but the key for a healthy lifestyle is maintaining balance.
