Thought I'd post something a little different this afternoon... I try to get outside every day and get some vitamin d from the sun. At the same time, I like to make sure I'm barefoot and connecting with the earth.

There's some suggestion that the electrical charge from the earth can counteract free radicals in our body and literally ground our energy.

It sounds a little woowoo, but when you think about it, how often in our modern day lives do we actually have bare skin contact with the ground? And how much more frequently this would have occurred for our ancestors? 🤔

My 1st attempt at egg foo young. These were absolutely delicious and did not last long enough for the gravy to be served with cauli rice. Between my aunt Rosetta in San Diego and @thewoksoflife, we have a new favorite in my family. I used coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. I also used a minimal amount of arrowroot in place of cornstarch for the entire batch, which can still be considered #keto friendly. My kid LOVED this recipe.

We are at the show again.... we ate at @woodandvine ... it was AMAZING!!’ Chilean sea bass, Brussels sprouts... whiskey flight.. and they brought out a mango sorbet... I tried a little taste.. but I’m not a big sweets person so 🤷🏻‍♀️. The service was phenomenal! .
1. For breakfast I had Costco egg bites and lunch I had salad with rotisserie chicken. .

1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs⁠
1 teaspoon each onion powder and garlic powder⁠
salt & pepper to taste⁠
2 tablespoons olive oil⁠
For The Sauce:⁠
1 tablespoon butter⁠
8 ounces sliced brown mushrooms⁠
8 ounces sliced red onion⁠
1 tablespoon minced garlic⁠
1 tablespoon chopped parsley⁠
1/2 - 1 teaspoon each of dried thyme, dried rosemary, and red pepper flakes (adjust to your taste)⁠
Salt and Pepper to taste⁠

👨🏽‍🍳 INSTRUCTIONS:⁠
1. Combine the onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Coat the chicken evenly with the combined seasoning.⁠
2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil a large pan or skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken thighs in batches until browned on each side and no longer pink in centre (about 8 minutes each side, depending on thickness). Transfer to a plate; set aside.⁠
3. In the same pan or skillet, melt the butter and add the onions; brown for 1-2 minutes until soft and fragrant. Then add in mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper and cook until soft (about 3 minutes). Add the garlic, red pepper, parsley, thyme and rosemary; continue to sauté until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).⁠
4. Return chicken to the pan and coat with sauce. Taste test and season with salt and pepper if needed. Top chicken with onion/mushroom mixture, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.⁠

Maybe next time I won’t use the foil🤷🏻‍♀️ that was the only direction that I made up myself🍕 The sauce was excellent and the center of the crust that I didn’t burn was good, but it’s a 2 pack and I will just watch the next one. I found both of these at the Walmart Neighborhood Market if you want to try. #itried #kinda #keto #ketopizza #ketowithme #ketopak #lowcarblife #lowcarblady #califlowercrust #califlowercrustpizza #califlourfoodspizzacrust #roashomemade

Bookmark these Salmon Salad Avocado Boats for when you’re looking for a low-carb meal full of protein, fiber and healthy fats. Yield: 4 boats | Calories: 173 each | Prep time: 2 min | Cook time: 2 min

Ingredients:
1 6oz can Salmon (Skinless, Deboned and packed in water, 170g)
2 Medium Avocados (190g each with seed)
1 Tbsp Red Onion, Chopped (10g)
3 Tbsp Greek Yogurt (19g)
1½ tsp Lemon Juice
½ tsp Dijon Mustard
⅛ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
½ tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)

Instructions:
- Drain and flake the salmon.
- In a medium bowl, add rest of the ingredients and stir.
- Add in salmon mix until combined.
- Halve and de-seed avocados.
- Fill each avocado half with salmon salad, dividing equally. - Top with crushed red pepper flakes, a squeeze of lemon juice and indulge!

Yield: 4 boats | Calories: 173 each | Prep time: 2 min | Cook time: 2 min

Ingredients:
1 6oz can Salmon (Skinless, Deboned and packed in water, 170g)
2 Medium Avocados (190g each with seed)
1 Tbsp Red Onion, Chopped (10g)
3 Tbsp Greek Yogurt (19g)
1½ tsp Lemon Juice
½ tsp Dijon Mustard
⅛ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
½ tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)

Instructions:
- Drain and flake the salmon.
- In a medium bowl, add rest of the ingredients and stir.
- Add in salmon mix until combined.
- Halve and de-seed avocados.
- Fill each avocado half with salmon salad, dividing equally. - Top with crushed red pepper flakes, a squeeze of lemon juice and indulge!

You can really put whatever you want in the waffles… you do you. Here is how I made this:
.
1. Preheat your waffle iron.
.
2.In a bowl, mix 1/4 cup almond flour, 1/4 to 1/3 cup shredded cheese (I used gouda), 2-3 tablespoons chopped scallions/green onions, 1-2 tablespoons finely chopped baby kale and 1-2 tablespoons of your favorite herbs. I used @josiesorganics baby kale + cilantro, and 1 egg. I used @peteandgerrys organic eggs.
.
3.Mix everything well, then add about 2-3 tablespoons of unsweetened almond or coconut milk to your batter or as needed.
.
4.Feel free to season up with anything you like (salt, pepper, garlic powder, herbs, etc)
.
5.Cook according to your waffle iron directions.
.
6.Serve up however way you like. I topped with a poached egg and served up with half an avocado, blueberries and some pecans.
.
7.Devour + conquer the day.
.

Yeah! I have a neck NOW!
When I was at my highest weight ( 715 lbs), I thought it was impossible to lose this much weight.

But now I know I Will make it to my goal. I don't have a number for my weight goal because I do better with smaller goals.

Pumpkin cheesecake mousse the perfect keto holiday dessert at 2 carbs per 1/2 cup serving. .

12 oz softened cream cheese
15 oz can pumpkin purée 
1/2 cup powder erythritol sweetener (I used swerve)
2 TBSP pumpkin pie spice
3/4 cup heavy cream
2 tsp vanilla extract

Mix softened cream cheese and pumpkin with hand mixer until free of lumps. Add all other ingredients and mix until well incorporated. You can serve immediately but I think it tastes better if you refrigerate for about 2 hours. Stays good in container  refrigerated for up to 1 week.

Recipe credit 30-minute KETOGENIC COOKING

Pumpkin cheesecake mousse the perfect keto holiday dessert at 2 carbs per 1/2 cup serving. .

12 oz softened cream cheese
15 oz can pumpkin purée
1/2 cup powder erythritol sweetener (I used swerve)
2 TBSP pumpkin pie spice
3/4 cup heavy cream
2 tsp vanilla extract

Mix softened cream cheese and pumpkin with hand mixer until free of lumps. Add all other ingredients and mix until well incorporated. You can serve immediately but I think it tastes better if you refrigerate for about 2 hours. Stays good in container refrigerated for up to 1 week.

Sebenarnya kalau betul-betul tahu teknik yang tepat, makanan yang biasa kita makan pun sebenarnya dah boleh membantu kita turun berat dengan betul.

It’s crazy to think that almost 2 years ago, I was getting surgery to hopefully remove the ovarian cancer that had taken over my little body at only 23 years old.
Ovarian cancer is know as the SILENT KILLER and that’s because symptoms don’t usually appear until the later stages, like myself. I was diagnosed at Stage 3 and unfortunately it ended up in my spleen and lymph nodes making the new diagnoses Stage 4B...the last stage.
Looking back, I HAD EVERY SINGLE SYMPTOM of ovarian cancer and I had no idea!😭 -

I am extremely blessed and thankful that God placed me in the hands of my doctors and we were able to catch it when we did because in November I will be celebrating 1 year of no evidence of disease! 🙌🏻 There is a TON of miss-information about ovarian cancer and testing!

THERE IS NO TESTING FOR OVARIAN CANCER! A yearly pap CAN NOT detect ovarian cancer! A vaginal ultra sound CAN NOT detect ovarian cancer but can show signs of a mass. A CT/MRI scan can show signs of cancer but CAN NOT determine if it is OVCA! The only way to 100% determine if it is ovarian cancer is by a BIOPSY and that’s it! The CA125 tumor marker level is the way the doctors monitor ovarian cancer once it has already been confirmed that it is OVCA and even then, it’s not always correct!

The most common signs and symptoms of OVCA are:
Bloating
Frequent urination or the need to go, a lot!
Feeling full quickly
Abdominal pain or lower back pain

Pro-tip: Because nut butters vary on how runny they are you’ll want to keep this in mind...If for whatever reason the batter is too “liquidy” add a TINY bit of coconut flour at a time until you can form a ball out of the batter. And if it is to crumbly, just add a little bit of nut butter at a time until you can form a ball out of the batter 👍🏻
