Cluster sets are one of the most utilized training methods for power development. It’s actually quite a simple concept - take a normal volume set, break it a part with with some rest intervals and there you go... you have the same volume, but now the average power of the set is higher than it would be otherwise. .

The key here is to make sure that the reps in the set are not higher than needed and that rest is long enough to help recover power without being too long to make it a different set. .

Cluster sets can be used for strength, power development, repeat power development and so on. It’s a concept that can be applied in any way the coach deems useful. .

Pasta Sunday’s 
Don’t get me wrong I love a traditional Sunday roast but we also sometimes have ‘Pasta Sundays’! The varieties of mushrooms in this is delicious and bringing out the seasonal sprouts.

Sprout hater? Don’t worry swap it for  asparagus, broccoli, peas or edamame beans.... in fact all those greens go lovely together to veg ninja this dish up! 
I love pasta with a side whether that’s a mixed salad or russets Mediterranean veg!

Lots of swaps you could do here to make it fit to you: milk for an alternative, a different cheese like Parmesan or manchego, a sort need pasta of half wholewheat pasta half courgetti!

Do you have any weekly meal traditions.... Thursday curry, meat free Mondays? -

So time and time again I see individuals making these mistakes and they end up spinning their wheels. Losing fat actual is the quickest process btw. So lets dive into it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1). Cardio:
-Use cardio as a tool, we want to use it to push the caloric deficit down or to insure that we are burning more than we consume. That should be about it, if you want to keep lean muscle mass on, do not over do the cardio. 20-40 minutes anywhere from 1-4 sessions a week is great. Don't go into it with two a days at the gym doing an hour each time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2). Protein:
-Gotta feed the muscle, the muscle does not grow in the gym but only in rest and recovery and if you are not eating the correct macros nutrients, "protein" being one of the most important of the three, you will not carry the correct amino profile for optimal muscle growth. Also if you are in a caloric deficit, it's going to make it that much harder to put on size. I choose to either cut or lean gain as I know that gainer sizing and cutting at the same time is near impossible at my level.

3). Resistance Training:
-Always train with moderate to heavy loads, to build lean muscle mass we have to give it a reason to hold onto it. While losing weight, you also don't want to lose just weight. We want to lose fat and the only way to shift this focus is with resistance training with weights.

4). Macros:
-So even though you may be eating "healthy or clean" the macros are what determines the composition of your body. Eat enough protein, carbohydrates and fat to fuel your workouts, repair and recover.

le 10 juin 2017, j’ai rouvert mon compte instagram.
je ne savais pas que j’allais croisé le chemin de personnes aussi bienveillantes, car j’avais 16 ans et j’étais terriblement effrayée par le monde.

je n’avais pas non plus l’intention de continuer à cuisiner. après tout, je cuisinais seulement pour regoûter des choses qui me manquaient, tel que le goût du brownie ou du crumble aux pommes.

puis c’est parti en cacahuète et voilà que je vous partage une image par jour, et même un blog, 2 ans et demi plus tard.

pépites de chihuahua. 🐭 en anglais, chiihuahua nuggets, avec 2 i.

il regroupe mes recettes, ça sera plus simple pour vous de vous repérer et pour moi aussi. j’ai plus de place et c’est mieux personnalisé.

le 10 juin 2017, j’ai rouvert mon compte instagram.
je ne savais pas que j’allais croisé le chemin de personnes aussi bienveillantes, car j’avais 16 ans et j’étais terriblement effrayée par le monde.
j’en ai fait des progrès ! énormément.
mais ça ne va pas mieux, et je ne me fais pas d’illusion pour la suite parce qu’après tout, quelque chose a quand même changé ; ce sombre fait partie de moi, je ne le renie plus et je l’accepte entièrement.

je n’avais pas non plus l’intention de continuer à cuisiner. après tout, je cuisinais seulement pour regoûter des choses qui me manquaient, tel que le goût du brownie ou du crumble aux pommes.

puis c’est parti en cacahuète et voilà que je vous partage une image par jour, et même un blog, 2 ans et demi plus tard.

pépites de chihuahua. 🐭 en anglais, chiihuahua nuggets, avec 2 i.

il regroupe mes recettes, ça sera plus simple pour vous de vous repérer et pour moi aussi. j’ai plus de place et c’est mieux personnalisé.
il est plus joli sur l’ordinateur, évidemment, et j’ai des tonnes de recettes à venir..

Manger vegan et être en pleine forme, ce n'est pas si compliqué 😃

Quand on commence à transitionner vers le végétalisme, on est un peu chamboulé dans nos habitudes et on se retrouve vite perdu. Comment remplacer la viande ? Quelle quantité consommer ? Comment faire des assiettes équilibrées ? Il y a tellement de questions que parfois, les gens se découragent 😭

Du coup et comme on me pose pas mal de questions à ce sujet, je me suis dit que j'allais répondre sous forme de graphique histoire que ce soit plus parlant ☺
.
Ici vous avez donc les apports minimum pour une journée (poids cuit et non cru sauf pour les oléagineux). Il suffit ensuite de répartir ces quantités dans vos différents repas de la journée. L'heure à la quelle vous allez manger un certain type d'aliment n'est pas importante (non, les pâtes le soir ne font pas grossir), ce qui compte c'est de s'assurer d'avoir manger ces quantités à la fin de la journée. C'est tout 🤗

➡ Céréales : elles vous apportent les glucides et les protéines. Le mieux est de les prendre complètes pour un apport nutritionnel plus intéressant

➡ Légumes : vos meilleurs amis ! Ils sont source de fibres, vitamines, calcium et minéraux

➡ Légumineuses : elles comblent vos besoins en protéines et en fer
.
➡ Fruits : ils apportent des glucides, des vitamines et des minéraux
.
➡ Oléagineux : ils sont super riche en lipides (graisses) de bonne qualité, en protéines et minéraux
.
➡ Matières grasses : privilégiez les bonnes matières grasses riches en oméga-3 comme l'huile de lin par exemple

Health and wellness management is important, but if you are like me it is not always easy to eat optimal nutritious foods. I mean, let’s get real, I love cheese! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

However, even though I no longer follow my marathon running nutrition plan, I do have some rules I live by.  I am gonna share them with you. If you have some you follow but don’t see listed, feel free to share them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I try my absolute best to: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Not drink sugar drinks or diet drinks⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Take my multivitamin and probiotics⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Get 7-8 hours of sleep ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Exercise 30 minutes a day ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Drink a fiber drink ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6. Load up on lots of water ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
7. Eat some protein (meat or plant based) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
8. Eat some fruits and veggies ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
9. Watch my refined carbs ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
10. Not eat processed foods ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Christmas Version of my easy Single Serving Banana Bread 🍌 I pulled this Christmas ramekin out of our Christmas decorations and was so happy because for some reason it just makes my day when I have a recipe in it haha. Recipe: 1 banana mashed, 1 egg whisked, 2 tbsp coconut flour, 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tbsp cinnamon, 2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk, 1 tbsp organic almond butter, 1/2 scoop collagen ( I like @ancientnutrition or @furtherfood) *optional. 
Bake for 30-35ish mins and sprinkle with a little coconut sugar and you’re ready to go! ❤️ #paleo #glutenfree #paleolifestyle #choosingbalance

Da ich es immer wieder erlebe, möchte ich es einfach ansprechen (wen es nicht betrifft, kann sich glücklich schätzen): fangt nicht an, sobald euer Coach die Makros erhöht hat oder möchte, dass ihr die Portionen vergrößert, darüber nachzudenken, wo ihr mehr Sport am Tag machen könnt - die extra Kalorien MÜSSEN ja jetzt auch noch verbrannt werden. Es ist NICHT gesund so zu denken. Den Part mit „den eigenen Körper lieben“, kann dir kein Coach durch die passenden Makros oder Lebensmittelauswahl geben. Fragt euch einfach mal, wieso ihr so denkt.
Das ganz großes Thema ist hier Selbstliebe und Selbstrespekt. Ich war auch an dem Punkt und die letzten Wochen waren natürlich nicht cool, dabei zuzusehen wie die Muskeln weniger werden. Vor allem, wenn ich mich vorher selbst viel über mein Aussehen in Bezug auf den Muskelanteil definiert habe.

Da ich es immer wieder erlebe, möchte ich es einfach ansprechen (wen es nicht betrifft, kann sich glücklich schätzen): fangt nicht an, sobald euer Coach die Makros erhöht hat oder möchte, dass ihr die Portionen vergrößert, darüber nachzudenken, wo ihr mehr Sport am Tag machen könnt - die extra Kalorien MÜSSEN ja jetzt auch noch verbrannt werden. Es ist NICHT gesund so zu denken. Den Part mit „den eigenen Körper lieben“, kann dir kein Coach durch die passenden Makros oder Lebensmittelauswahl geben. Fragt euch einfach mal, wieso ihr so denkt.
Das ganz großes Thema ist hier Selbstliebe und Selbstrespekt. Ich war auch an dem Punkt und die letzten Wochen waren natürlich nicht cool, dabei zuzusehen wie die Muskeln weniger werden. Vor allem, wenn ich mich vorher selbst viel über mein Aussehen in Bezug auf den Muskelanteil definiert habe.

Throwing it back to one of my favorite breakfasts- Sweet Potato Avo Toast 🥑 Made super fancy with poached eggs 🍳 which is my favorite way to eat eggs! They’re so tasty and they feel so fancy 👌🏻 Instead I’m eating a hotel breakfast before we head out and explore Portland today!I’ve never been to the Northwest* (oops haha)  but so far I love the atmosphere so much (even though it’s rainy) If anyone has any recs of what to do and where to eat, let me know! Happy Saturday and remember to live in the moment 💫 -

I’m trialing the 75 hard challenge which I’ll be kicking off full swing come the new year. It’s extremely hard, but even after a week I’ve been noticing the benefits of better sleep, energy & focus. ⁣
⁣
Here’s what it entails:⁣
⁣
75 days:⁣
⁣
1. 2 x 45 min daily workouts - one needs to be outdoors (making an exception to this when it’s icy/lightning but no other conditions otherwise)⁣
⁣
2. One gallon of water a day⁣
⁣
3. Pick a diet & no cheats or booze ⁣
4. 10 minutes of reading (educational or personal Developement) ⁣
⁣
5. 5 minute cold shower (Modifying this to starting my shower warm and ending with 2 min cold... I can’t make myself get into a freezing cold shower consistently)⁣
⁣
6. 3 daily actions that move you forward in life ⁣
⁣
7. 10 minutes of focused goal-oriented visualization⁣

8. Daily progress photo (don’t worry, not going to be posting this daily 😂 just for personal progress tracking)

This challenge was created by an ex-marine as more of a mental-strength challenge than anything, with the obvious health benefits. ⁣

Will-power and mental strength are things that I know if I can develop I’ll be 100% more successful with all aspects of my life. ⁣
⁣
To keep myself accountable I’ll be posting a lot more gym/food/motivational (from my reading & goal setting) content come the new year. Soooo fair warning ⁣

AND it will be documented on my BLOG, which I’ve mentioned releasing for the past year and never have 😂 First release date will be Jan. 1st. ⁣

When unadulterated food breaks the bank while fast food burgers cost less than a cup of coffee or glass of water. This is just ONE of the problems with the food industry.
I also want to point out all food begins with PHOTOSYNTHESIS & the SOIL. These vital elements often overlooked when we think about food.

Making better food choices for our health, potential offspring (our life goal is to reproduce not longevity FYI but does not mean it can not be a goal :-)) and our environment does not require a PhD or Masters Degree.

I find it pretty shocking sometimes whilst I am out and about in London having to fork out £15+ for a single meal consisting of a salad box + soup + something sweet or a smoothie.

Instead of complaining I take action in my own hands and meal prep 90% of the time. I do not restrict myself from eating out but save it for once per week, perhaps specifically for a food I want to try or too lazy to cook or prep such as razor clams etc.
Eating out and socialising with family / friends is another important component which we have been doing for a longggg time too.

Perhaps the question should also be, why is the burger so cheap? 🙄

I do not mind departing my money for quality + sustainable produce which is being invested back into our soil (the fundamental base of our food chain) and direct to the producer.

I find it puzzling that we are discouraged from the ground up from schools to work place to government to make better decisions with incentives / education / open public access gyms / farmers markets / allotments / food waste etc.

Good morning sunshines!☀️ (who else is watching Nikki Blackketter vlogmas? Lol). Classic breakfast this AM bc I couldn’t be bothered to get a pan out and actually cook anything.🙄 Once upon a time I used to eat oats like 5 days out of the week (or more honestly) and I thought I’d never get tired of it.... well I thought wrong🤣 it’s now MAYBE a once a month occurrence🤷🏼‍♀️

حضرنا لكم وصفة من #مطبخ_ومضة بمكونات بسيطة وصحية😉
.
😋الدجاج المقرمش بالشوفان😋 🔸المكونات:
صدر دجاج🍗
٣ ملاعق كبيرة زبادي🥛
ربع كوب وملعقتين شوفان🥡
بيضة🥚
ملعقة صغيرة من: ( ملح - فلفل اسود وكمون - بابريكا - بودرة بصل وبودرة ثوم - اوريجانو مجفف )🧂
.
🔸الطريقة:👩🏻‍🍳
- يقطع صدر الدجاج الى ٦ قطع ويتبل في ( الزبادي ونصف مقدار البهارات ) لمدة ساعتين على الاقل او ليلة كاملة في الثلاجة.
- تخلط بقية البهارات مع الشوفان.
- تخرج قطع الدجاج وتقلب في البيضة ثم في الشوفان جيداً ثم ترش ببخاخ الزبدة وتوضع في صينية مغطاة بورق الزبدة وتدخل الى الفرن حتى تتحمر ( او تشوى في القلاية الهوائية ).
- تقدم مع البطاطس المشوي والسلطة وصوص الزبادي ( زبادي وثوم وليمون وبقدونس ) وبالهناء والعافية 😍👍..
