At TCNM, we encourage eating in season so this is the perfect time for a burrata heirloom tomato salad, with all these lovely tomatoes ripening. We’ve
elevated our summer salad by adding some fresh Ontario peaches.
Here’s a simple recipe for our Burrata salad with Heirloom Tomatoes and Fresh Peaches.
3 heirloom tomatoes
1 or 2 fresh burrata
Handful of fresh basil
Aged balsamic vinegar
Slice your heirloom tomatoes and lie them flat on a plate. Then slice two ripe peaches and add to the salad.
Sprinkle with some fresh basil, top with fresh burrata, then drizzle with your best olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar. Sprinkle with a bit of Maldon salt, crack some pepper on top and enjoy!
Honestly, this salad tastes like summer!
And remember peaches, tomatoes and basil are all on the dirty dozen list so try to buy organic!
