2 DAYS TILL LOVER! OMG
Here's an aesthetic for 1989! The ICONIC pop album which changed Taylor's music journey. I love 1989 a lot because that was the era I joined Instagram and I met wonderful friends and it's overall a really happy beautiful era which represents freedom, finding home in solidarity and being yourself.
Her forward to 1989 is something I read a lot. I love how she talks about change. Well, I love how she talks about anything!!! 1989 totally deserved the Grammy awards it got.
My favourite tracks from this album in no particular order are
CLEAN! I love clean so much (it's my phone ringtone haha). It's a like a sad but optimistic song, and it gives you strength to fight alone, while at the same time telling you that it's okay and human to miss people or things that weren't good for you and to look back but not want to go back.
The bridge and "the water filled my lungs i screamed so loud but no one heard a thing" are my favourite and most relatable (to anyone fighting for their mental health, or an addiction to a thing or a person, that's the beauty of music, you interpret it your way)
I know places. I wasn't obsessed with this song in the very beginning but damn once it grew on me- I'm still obsessed. The song feels like anxiety, the fear of being chased by something, hiding (I GET THIS FEELING A LOT IN MY DREAMS LIKE IM CONSTANTLY RUNNING AWAY FROM STH OR SOMEONE)
Similar to this OOTW!! MY FAVOURITE MV OKAY it gave me chills all over my body. When she finds herself. Quite literally in the video. Chills. Again, this song is just anxiety and fear but not from being chased but from endings.
This love and you are in love, most beautiful soft warm songs. "You understand now why they lost their minds and fought the wars and why I've spent my whole life trying to put it into words" is my favourite line from yail. It's hard putting complex emotions into words. But Miss Swift does it time and again.
