This class is an ongoing open session, catering to different beginner levels and progressions, which you can join at any time, with no membership, no costly gradings and no contract. It is simply £10 a session, pay-as-you-train. 
The beginners sessions incorporate the full Five Animals form (half of 'Ten Pattern'), progressing through to the advanced Syllabus classes featuring the full Hung Gar Kuen system including Tiger and Crane, I-Shape, Iron Wire, Wooden Man, Elements, Patterns and 12 Bridges. Uniquely, Bak Mei Southern style is also included in our system at Spectrum.

Also included in our large syllabus is Chi Na (grappling/floor fighting) and close range Chi Sao (sticking/trapping hands) integration, as well as hand and leg (kicking) integration through application and sparring drills, both partner and pad based.

Read the following post to get some knowledge on how to increase how many calories you burn with some EASY & SIMPLE changes! -
What is TDEE? 
It is your Total Daily Energy Expenditure! What does that mean?
Simply TDEE= amount of calories you burn a day!
-
Firstly, your TDEE is broken down into 4 sections. -
Section 1: Your BMR (basic metabolic rate). This accounts for between 60%-70% of your TDEE. You burn this without any form of movement! We can’t do much about this, but it changes depending on age, fitness level and hormonal factors! -
Section 2: TEF (Thermic Effect of Food) between 5-10% of your TDEE. Simply, how many calories we burn when your body is digesting your food! -
Section 3: EAT (Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) for someone training 3 times a week for around an hour this is roughly 10% of your TDEE! That’s right. That hour you do in a gym is ONLY 10% of the daily calories you burn! My question to all my clients is what are you doing the other 23 hours of the day? So is it enough to sit down all day at work, go to the gym for an hour, then go home and watch TV all evening!? NO! Which brings me onto section 4! -
Section 4: NEAT (Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) anywhere between 5-30% of our TDEE! Fidgeting, walking, making a coffee literally everything you do on a day to day basis is in our NEAT! 
But James how do I increase this, I hear you ask? Well... start by looking how many steps you do a day! If you are less than 10,000. Stop taking lifts! Start walking up them stairs! Take your dog out for an extra 10 minutes! Get up from your sofa and just move! -
It’s simple the more you move the more you lose! -

Don’t get me wrong I am not saying the gym isn’t worth it, because it is! It’s just simply not enough. There are more hours in the day to move and increase your calorie deficit!

Today I had a walk down from Wheathampstead to West End Farm at Nomansland Common. Part of my rehabilitation/fitness program. ✅ A walk is also a great opportunity to clear you head and let your mind wander where it will. In marching along I thought about the days of my National Service in Greece. 🇬🇷 Particularly the basic training of endless hours of marching with a full pack on your back, rifle in hand. Got me thinking about the expression “digging your heels in”, which we may use when suggesting a stubborn attitude or resistance to someone else’s will. We could though, I think use it more constructively by doing as they taught us back in those army days to dig the heel into the ground as you march, which surprisingly propels you very effectively forwards for longer periods of time with less effort. 👍 We can ‘dig in’ and push on to keep going towards our goals surprising ourselves as well as others how far we can get! 💪 Get going! 🏃‍♂️#armyaviation #sportpsychology #petros #coaching #equestrian #dressage #eventing #showjumping #horse @centre10psychology #training @britisheventing #britisheventing #britishdressage
