Spiced Apple and Pear Baked Oatmeal 🙌🏽
Deliciously warming, this creamy baked oatmeal hits the spot on a cold winter’s morning. To create this, I basically made baked apples (a classic dessert that I love) and then poured the porridge mix around it to bake – so simple and so scrumptious. If you cannot eat regular oats or you cannot find gluten free ones, simply use brown rice flakes instead. In different seasons you could also try adding different fruits. Cooking is a lot more than just making food.

It's a feeling,
an atmosphere,
a texture,
a craft.

It makes me feel life.

The kitchen is a space where I can play and get messy, but ultimately- it's a space where I can create something wonderful for myself, my family, and my friends.

Cooking comes down to a lot more than just chopping and sautéing. The way you handle and store a vegetable makes a huge difference to its flavor. For example, I love massaging my food prior to eating. It brings out the flavour, aids in nutrient extraction, and helps with digestion. It may sound ridiculous, but spend some time working with your food. I mean, you're putting it into your body. Get familiar with it and approach it mindfully.

When I began cooking I was really young and quite terrible at it. I loved letting my imagination run wild- but it would get the best of my dishes every time. Now that same imagination allows me to create dishes like this from scratch, and always without a recipe.

Y’all had some questions about my experience, so here we go...yes, you need a reservation (usually a month in advance), it’s $315 a person, 3 @michelinguide stars, you eat from a 8-10 course tasting menu only that changes, the meal lasts 3 hours, and they can accommodate every dietary restriction out there. 👏🏻 The food is unique + amazing, the service even better, and obviously this isn’t an everyday activity, and I recognize the privilege to be able to eat like this 💰 They’re the best in fine dining for a reason, so make it a bucket list item if you’re into dining experiences like I am 💃 #veganeatsnyc

This nolita fast casual restaurant has the best name. 🍜 @noodlelovenyc serves make your own noodle bowls with tons of vegan options. I chose the combos they already offered like this refreshing vegan kimchi crunch salad with rice noodles and this amazing smoky mushroom jap chae with glass noodles. For those of you who never went to their OG location in BK cause it was “too far” you have no excuse now! 😉 You got all your American classics here like chopped cheese, Chicago dogs, breakfast burgers, and my favorite is the KILLER oat milk shake with vanilla ice cream, sprinkles, whipped cream, and a cherry on top 🍒 This is one of the best milk shakes I’ve ever had as a vegan because it isn’t too sweet. Vegan hand pulled noodles where you can choose the thickness is actual fave 👅 @dunhuangfood has a few locations in nyc (one in grand central, UWS, east village, + one in flushing) and labels their dishes with that “vegan” label for all that’s cruelty free. This is the spicy oil noodles but the mala noodle soup is vegan too (+ lots of veggie apps!). So good, chewy, and spicy 🥵 #veganeatsnyc

How do you all feel about that? @no5nyc in Long Island City has a fully vegan menu but also a non vegan option for everything. 🤔 I liked the truffle Mac and these tacos (fish, buffalo cauliflower, and chicken, all vegan obviously) 🌮 Super cute space though with vintage tiki vibes 🌴. I love my BK popups but @365plantbasedmarket in the LES has got some great options! 🥰 This is @gigisdoughnuts saffron cardamom buttercream doughnut 🍩 I also checked out @badgyalvegan for their vegan oxtail and @anthonyseastside for their overly cheesey pasta 🍝 The market is 11am-7pm at 21 Ludlow st but they do a popup every few months so keep a look out for them! 🕶 #veganeatsnyc
