What if we all dedicated two hours every day to our own self care? Two whole guilt-free hours that we commit to our own wellbeing. No worrying about work, no checking your phone, no stressing about whatever else is going on wherever else in the world. Just two hours, fully set aside for you to take care of you, whatever that means.
How much better off would we be emotionally, mentally, even physically? How would that energy carry us through the rest of our day? Imagine how nourishing that would be. How good would that feel for you! Think how far it could radiate inward and out.
Now take that good feeling and make it real. Two hours. You DESERVE that. At least. Every day. You give eight hours and probably more to your job. You spend the rest of your energy supporting your partner, your friends, your pets, your parents, your siblings, your children, your colleagues. Youuuuu deserve to feel loved, by you, just as much!
If two hours seems impossible, I promise it’s not. Set the alarm one hour earlier tonight and set an intention to spend the morning with yourself. Meditate. Journal. Swim. Do yoga. Whatever you do, do it before you scroll through social media. Turn your phone off and go outside before bed. Let yourself get lost in the stars for a little while. Read just one chapter in a book. Take a bath. Listen to your favorite song. Take these moments for yourself, unapologetically, because they’re friggin’ good for you the way that eating your fruits and veggies are, and there’s nothing wrong about that. Then go have a friggin’ phenomenal day, ok? ❤️
