All of our classes are suitable for beginners as our wonderful instructors guide you through each yoga class at your own pace. Adaptations of traditional yoga poses can be made with the hammocks, and you can push yourself to whatever limit you feel most comfortable.

I rarely lunge like this now (end of post I’ll explain when it’s good to)

I used to think that if I lunged this deeply and found a stretch in my right hip or thigh then I was doing my hips justice 
_
Mr Flexi-Hips eventually because My My Back Fucking Hurts thanks to destabilising my hip joints
_
But I wanted to share this photo because there is something pretty noticeable happening in my right butt that is sinfully forgotten in many yoga practises 
_
A big ask of your hips I often see when yoga practitioners lunge but soften the glute of the hip flexor they are attempting to open. This is one of the fastest ways to blow your sacro-iliac joint and experience wonderful waves of unnecessary pain 
_
Feel for activating the lower glute fibres towards hamstrings - but DO NOT attempt to squeeze your anal sphincter; not unless you want to experience another type of pain
_
In this photo, for lunge backbend (not just lunge), as I was experimenting with front hip flexibility by enhancing back hip stability, I only go as far as I can feel an equal distribution of weight through legs, hips and spine
_
The more in tune you get, the more of the truth you will feel - I have seen this wisdom build in long term yogis, contortionists and acrobats 
_
We can either do this for a short time, or until the day we are done with life itself. I prefer to lunge until my last days

Day 19! I’m still figuring out the juggle with everything I want/need to do in a day but I’ll get there. Wednesday is remaining a more flexible day for me so I managed to squeeze in several hours of office work, several loads of laundry, cleaned the kids bathroom, did #yogawithadriene and took an aerial yoga class all before noon. Tonight I’m good to finish off the office work I need to remotely. If only every day were this balanced and productive. .

Every day I am amazed of how much we can do with technology. From doing some really good quality videos to transforming images into beautiful pictures with an edge to it 📸📸📸📸.

And what about video calling📲📲📲 I don't even use the phone dial anymore, it's all about video calling, meetings via video calling and easily sharing files all over the world, connection phone to laptop, to TV....endless possibilities.
.
How can we not make the most from it and use in ways that can enhance true connection with others, spread the word of kindness, love and solidarity?

The power of technology is in our hands to give it the use that benefit us and those around us, the more I use the more I am grateful for the 🌍 to have given us this powerful tool.

Those who are doing exercises of any kind should observe the following rules carefully. They should be strictly regular in the performance of exercises. Regularity is the prerequisite if you want to progress rapidly and succeed in physical culture. Those who do vigorous exercises should take substantial nutritious food, as otherwise, their muscles will waste. You will not find much improvement. Plenty of ghee, milk, butter, nuts, etc., should be regularly taken. Those who practise Sirshasana should take some light tiffin ten minutes after all Asanas are over. You should take some light food after you have finished the exercises. Weigh your body once a month and keep a record. Exercises can be practised both in the morning and evening. You should rest for half an hour before you take your bath. You should try to observe Brahmacharya as much as you can. If you remain a strict celibate, you will achieve astonishing results. What is there in a woman? What is there in repeating the same old act again and again which is so very disgraceful? Are you not ashamed of all that? Do you not realise that it is all the play of Avidya and false Moha? Strengthen the body and then do spiritual Sadhana. You will enjoy real bliss. I beseech you, learn to be wise at least from now onwards.

Twisty headstand variation inspired by @siiiena but way less twisty than hers 😂 I really thought I twisted a lot but when I checked my video, I felt betrayed by my own body. THIS... this one sentence speaks volumes, almost a mathematical formula of achieving what I’ve defined as my “total sum”! I remember when this photo was taken. I was a few months deep into a year long journey through South America, I had spent months in the very energetically dense, heavily polluted Chilean capital of Santiago 😷
.
On this day we ventured out to a small country town just a little over an hour outside of the city and had the opportunity to take out some push bikes! I remember that surge of prana that flooded through my body from the simple experience of moving with nature! This always feels like a homecoming, as if in that space I am closest to Source & Self 💚🌿
.
Admittedly, this time of my life I was so lost and disconnected with myself. I’m actually grateful for the truth that surfaced that terminated this chapter of my journey. This is what brought me back to my mat, move through my pain, and allowed me to connect with myself on the most deepest level I never could have imagined! This spark is a continuous one that I’m forever trying to ignite in my movement practices! 💥✨
.
These sparks facilitate so much change, change that I perhaps used to fear in the past. I can see now how all these changes are merely fluctuations mirroring the natural ebb and flow of the universe that surrounds me! It is in this profound understanding and acceptance to the magic that is change that I am able to truly connect with the essence of consciousness! So start with movement, invite and embrace change, then observe this divine unfolding 💖🕉

Warrior III aka "airplane" #tutorialtuesday
•
With any balance pose, steady breath is key. Balance poses are extremely mental; if your mind is somewhere else you will topple quickly. While balancing, it is important to maintain the presence of body perception and focus on the breath.
•
This photo is left side Warrior III. Beginning in left side Warrior I, interlace fingers and extend the index fingers and lower the arms to the height of the shoulders, extending the arms forward.
•
Inhale and on an exhale transfer the weight to the left leg as you lift the right leg, lifting the right heel off the ground.
•
Transfer weight into the left leg as you lift the right leg off the ground.
•
Release the hands and maintain the arms parallel, opening the fingers and stretching the palms. At this point, bringing the arms forward to meet is a valuable optional modification.
•
Bring the torso parallel to the floor and flex the right foot, extending through the right heel. Engage the glute and hamstring to elevate the leg and engage the core to get the torso low. This combination maintains alignment.
•
Drop the above hip if it is rising up, hips squared to the floor is ideal.
•
Maintain the head between arms with neck aligned with torso.
•
Maintain for 5-8 breaths.
•
To exit the pose, bring the torso upright and drop the arms to the sides, replacing the right leg next to the left leg.
